Headway - Autumn 2009
Are you ready for Ofsted?
A new Ofsted school inspection framework came into force on 1 September 2009. There are important differences between the new framework and the previous version.
Most schools that have been judged to be ‘outstanding’ or ‘good’ will now usually be inspected every five years, with an Interim Assessment Report published after three years. Schools that have been judged to be ‘satisfactory’ will be inspected every three years, although up to 40 per cent will receive an interim monitoring visit if their progress is judged by Ofsted to be ‘static’ or ‘in decline’.
