Why SATs must go…the top three reasons
- They narrow the curriculum
- They create the tyranny of league tables
- They cause unnecessary stress to children, parents and teachers
NUT General Secretary Christine Blower says:
“Now is the time to make a stand to end SATs. Parents, children and communities will all benefit. Please vote ‘yes’ in the indicative ballot. Together we can end the misery of SATs and make 2010 a great, SATs-free year for education.”
