Kevin Courtney elected Deputy General Secretary of the largest teachers’ union - Press Release
Kevin Courtney, National Executive member and Camden NUT secretary for 20 years, has been elected the next Deputy General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers. He will take up the post as soon as the necessary arrangements are made with his current employers.
Christine Blower, NUT General Secretary said;
“I have worked with Kevin for the 20 years he has been active in the Union in London. He has made a great contribution both at local level and at national level through his work with SERTUC the Southern and Eastern Region of the TUC.
“I really look forward to working with Kevin and deploying his skills, strengths and abilities for the advancement of members and education through the National Union of Teachers.”
