Employment opportunities with the NUT
What we do
The NUT is the largest organisation representing teachers in England and Wales,
the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey and in Service Children's Schools throughout
the World. We have the resources and staffing to give advice, guidance and support
to teachers in all aspects of their professional lives. Support directly to
members is provided mainly by staff in our regional offices and by the Wales
Office.
As the major professional organisation, the NUT also plays a leading role in influencing education policies at national and local levels and in national negotiations relating to teachers' conditions, salaries and pensions. The Union is represented on major national education bodies and makes representations to central government on all matters affecting teachers and schools. Policy and development work of this nature is carried out mainly at Headquarters together with other central support and administrative functions.
