O2 Learn: Watch. Share. Learn
The O2 learn project looks like an interesting venture. We hope that
members will engage with it and find it helpful. The NUT will be taking
a keen interest to see how it develops. If it fulfils the promise of
providing innovative and practical ideas, teachers and pupils will be

O2 Learn is a free online revision resource for both UK secondary school teachers and students. The site takes the form of a video sharing library where teachers upload mini revision lessons for students to watch and learn from. O2 Learn aims to connect great teachers (and their really useful mini-lessons) with thousands of students across the UK who are looking for useful, engaging revision tools. At the same time, we want to celebrate the great teachers who deliver them with our awards system.
How can teachers get involved?
- Share your lessons with Britain’s biggest classroom
Film your favourite mini revision lesson: it can be on any subject, for any secondary exam level and upload it to www.o2learn.co.uk
Every fortnight, the best rated and most viewed video wins £2,000 for the teacher and £2,000 for their school. An overall winner will be announced in autumn 2011, winning £50,000 for themselves and £100,000 for their school.
- Share the site with your students
The site is also a resource for you. Many of the lessons are useful starters and can be integrated into lesson plans. We also hope that it will help consolidate learning when pupils are revising independently.
O2 Learn is a not for profit project that O2 are doing as part of their Think Big corporate responsibility scheme, which is all about helping young people.
