The Government has proposed a two-year pay freeze across the whole public sector for 2011 and 2012 as it seeks to make public sector workers pay for the costs of the recession. Teachers' pay increases have been below inflation in recent years. Now the Government's proposed two year pay freeze will cost teachers even more.
