Say No to the Government's unfair pension contribution increases
The Government has published its proposals to increase your pension contributions to help it pay for the costs of the recession. These proposals aren't justified by rising pension costs - the Government has refused to carry out the overdue valuation of the Teachers' Pension Scheme, and all the indications are that the costs of teachers' pensions are actually falling. Instead, the increases are intended to achieve short term savings for the Government during the next three years as part of its public spending cuts. They are simply a tax on teachers to make us pay for a recession we did not cause.
