This document provides guidance for NUT members on teachers’ pay and conditions of service in Academies.

It covers the position of teachers who take up posts at Academies from teaching employment elsewhere as well as teachers who are transferred to Academies from the schools they replaced.

The use of “model paragraphs” to ensure the proper incorporation of the terms of the STPCD and Burgundy Book and the terms of local agreements into teachers contracts of employment.
