Campaigning Against Trust Schools: Information And Guidance From The National Union Of Teachers
A Trust school is:
- A maintained school with a charitable foundation involving ‘external partners’ such as businesses and charities
- Funded by the local authority
- The direct employer of staff and owner of school land, buildings and other assets
The NUT campaigns against Trust School status, and believes that all community schools should remain as community schools.
Irrespective of the type of school NUT members work in, NUT members will receive the Union’s full support, advice, services and protection.
