About the delegation:
The Union is pleased to once again be offering a delegation to Cuba in the October half-term. The trip will explore the theme Achieving the UN Millennium Development Goals: What can we learn from Cuba and how can international solidarity help. The delegation will include school visits, meetings with Cuban colleagues, and an immersive cultural experience. For more information, please read the 2016 delegation report.
The cost of a delegate place will be £1,995.00 which includes flights, hotel accommodation (on the basis of two people sharing) and travel. The Union nationally will contribute £1,000 per delegate. Members should either be prepared to pay the remainder of the cost themselves or seek support from their Division/Association (or through a combination of the two). Nominees are strongly urged to secure funding for the cost of joining the delegation prior to applying. Please note that this fee does not cover all meals.
How to apply:
Nominations can only be made by associations or divisions. Applications made by individuals without the approval of their division or association will not be accepted.
