LGBT+ Educators’ Conference 2018

The LGBT+ Educators' Conference provides LGBT+ Members with the opportunity to meet and network with other education professionals from across England and Wales. There will be a series of workshops, stalls, plenaries and caucuses which focus on topics pertaining to the LGBT+ community as well as encouraging Members to become more active within the NEU. (And of course the memorable disco!).

This year's conference will take place at the Queens Hotel, City Square, Leeds LS1 1PJ from Friday 20th April to Sunday 22nd April 2018. The package includes: hotel for single occupancy, breakfast, 3 course dinner Saturday night, Conference attendance, lunch and refreshments.

At the conference, there will be a networking drinks and buffet from 7pm on Friday 20th April. Spend the Saturday attending workshops from organisatons such as Stonewall, Educate and Celebrate, Gendered Intelligence, The Proud Trust and Mermaids before atending the first ever NEU LGBT+ Educators' Awards Ceremony and then dance the evening away out at our Queer Ball.

The keynote speakers on Sunday are trans and non-binary rights actvists, Fox Fisher and Owl. Then debate LGBT+ rights and our policy before going home at lunchtme.
