Race in the workplace review

1 March 2017

Commenting on the McGregor Smith Review, The Time for Talking is Over, Kevin Courtney, General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers said:

“The NUT welcomes the publication of this review on race in the workplace, to which we were privileged to contribute. It accurately reflects the aspirations of Black and Minority Ethnic workers and job seekers.

‘It sets out a six point roadmap to help leaders focus on the immediate and medium term requirements that will enable them to move positively towards a more diverse workforce.  It also challenges Government to lay the groundwork on which employers can build truly inclusive workplaces where every person, regardless of their ethnicity or background, is able to fulfil their potential at work.

‘The NUT agrees now is the time to act and urges the Government, business and the public sector to fulfil the report’s call for change.”
